Bicentennial year.

To begin, I will talk about my view on this year that the country has reached 200 years. I think we should be proud because they are 200 years of our nation, which has cost a lot of sacrifice and now we enjoy it!! I think in the media has mishandled this issue since before September this event was announced in many places and in many ways and everyone was talking about the bicentenary, but now has ceased to be an important subject no one talks about the bicentennial. The first paragraph expresses my opinion on the handling that makes the media on many issues that occur in our country, which can be influenced by the political maneuvering. Earlier this year the media spoke with the arrival of 2010 began a party that would join Chile and would be an opportunity to recognize the country where we lived and which was built between all of us as citizens. This would be an opportunity to dream with Chile would wish for the coming years.
Different activities were conducted such as the opening of a Museum of Memory and Human Rights in March, after the National Stadium was remodeled (among other works that were performed during the celebration of our 200 years of Independence). There were more than 200 works Bicentennial throughout the country to promote unity, importance was given to green areas and there were spaces for culture, sport and meeting citizen.
The media also announced that these activities allow us to connect and integrate with the world, but also help us reclaim our history and identity to reclaim our heritage as a country . Anyway, it was a nation wide invitation to participate in these activities.

In my opinion, instead of uniting and integrating the entire nation, the bicentennial year was used to distract people and leave out many important issues such as problems facing the Mapuche people. We must not ignore the fact that the country has grown and improved in many ways during these 200 years, but I think in the history of Chile has been a tendency to deny all social injustices and has also been a lack of interest movements that make many social groups. That is, on one hand the media show the pretty face of a nation that is growing, but otherwise handle information and will also hide the facts that are happening in a country that is still in development.

A SABBATICAL YEAR.

Well, I think that a free year is very necessary for me because I need and I’m very tired. But I already had a year off when I left school, but it really was not to rest because I worked and studied for university entrance. I worked in the mornings and studying in the afternoon. So now I would take a year sabbatical and really take the time to travel a lot and have fun. I think I deserve it because I could go back to university with much more encouragement and because I never had the chance to do things I really like because I have to go to university and the summer is very short. Among the things I like to do on a sabbatical, would travel to southern Chile to be surrounded by the beautiful vegetation that exists in these places. The best thing would be to have money to travel a lot and know many places in the south, for example see the city of Puerto Monnt and Chiloè. It would be wonderful to earn a cash award to pay for a trip or perhaps borrow from the bank and then pay it.
I like extreme sports adventure would be fun to climb mountains and be in the south of Chile there are many places where you can practice these sports. Finally on sabbatical I would like to know exotic foods and eat lots of things, well I would also like to drink without worrying about avoiding excesses

Environment !!!

Well, the truth is that environmental care is an issue that worries me because my whole life I lived in Santiago and I believe that life here is not healthy. We do not take care of our environment and that makes us all sick. I think each person can bring in something so that together we help the environment. But that must start at home I think parents should teach their children to care for the environment, families should plant more trees in their houses as well in school should teach children to use the trash cans and of course the use less transport because it pollutes a lot. For example, if children walk to school would save money and also help protect the environment and it would be better for children to walk daily to their schools. In general I think that not only can help and take steps the government authorities, but every family, every school and community can contribute much in the environmental awareness.
I do not really even sit up in my use of recycling habits but I'm sure it is very important, I try to walk a lot especially during spring and summer to occupy less means of transport.
I think in the future I'd like to participate in an organization that protects the environment because I feel that I have not done much in the care of the environment. I think in Santiago we need to appreciate the great problem that affects us why we live in a city that each day is more contaminated.
If our city was cleaner would be beautiful because we have the Santa Lucía and San Cristobal Hill but you we can not admire because of the smog in the city. Well companions we have a pending task and is that is to cooperate for a better environment

Wild Party

Well, actually this year I did not get very wild partys or events, has been a year of work and study so I do not remember a party that happened recently ... this year therefore have been quiet nights. But I remember that in the summer in the month of January I was one night to drink with my boyfriend to a pub located in the borough of Maipú. I think I drank "piña colada" is the drink that I like! And he also drank that drink same... it seemed a romantic evening, in the place had karaoke and he sang beautiful songs for my, I was excited! We also ate something exquisite.
And so we spent a good while, until the drink took effect and was not enough so we went to a one of places called "after" located in the same sector of Maipu.
The atmosphere was so different! It was dark and crowded metalhead style, with black shirt and long hair. At first we could not go because the place is illegal but then we allowed to enter .
We laughed at the situation because we really felt we were in a crazy place! The people were very drunk and the beer was abundant. I also drank one beer ... and then another. I think at the retreat, I was drunk. The consequences were the other day ... I felt a huge headache and was very thirsty! Well just wanted to sleep and I have not go there returned to that place but I would go and spend another wild party .

The language and forms of communication...

This piece of news is about language development and communication in humans.
The news talk about a 16-month baby named Tom, born in May that still does not talk but can perform other activities such as slither underneath the sofa. In psychology, this is related to the ideas of Piaget, in that childre have mental mechanisms to learn their nature and the environment in which they grow and then will develop until adulthood. Whether in terms of intelligence, logical operations, the concepts of number, space and time, etc.

Theories about the earliest forms of human communication were possibly the primitive gestures and language may have evolved from instinctual sounds or cries. For example, the Gestural theory suggests that early man developed the language by communicating with hand movements and body.

On the other hand, says that babies around the world start talking about saying the words typical "mom and dad" is how repetitive words with consonants would be the preferred way for babies to start talking, although every child speaking at different ages, for example the famous Einstein spoke at 3 years and Picasso first spoke to 18 months, so that mothers do not have to worry about when their babies speak because everyone will eventually. The premise that babies can communicate before they can speak was investigated by the scientist José García, in late 1980. Garcia suggested that even at six months, hearing babies of hearing parents can begin to learn basic signs.

La isla Bajo el Mar : :

The last book I read called "The island in the sea", is of the Chilean writer Isabel Allende.
This book was a gift from my boyfriend for my birthday..
Well, the story is about the life of an eighteenth-century slave named Zarité and the fight for freedom. The story takes place in several locations, but focuses on Santo Domingo. Zarité is a mulatto woman who at age 9 is sold as a slave to the French Toulouse Valmorain. There are other characters in the book, which are very interesting, as Violette, who is engaged in prostitution, Loula, the woman who protects her, Tante Rose, who is the healer, Celestine or Tante Mathilde, the cook of the plantation.
In the course of history, it takes forty years in the life of this woman, is counted as the exploitation of slaves that occurred on that island. Then she reached freedom for which he had fought hard and also lives a love story. The book ends up telling the story of a child conceived by Zarité and Valmorain.
I really liked this book because it tells a true story about the exploitation that might occur in many parts of the world, but specially with several characters who are magical. You tells the story of several women who are key and gives a different value because it demonstrates the importance of the strength of women to bring up the family. And especially with the history of Zarité, which is the example of a fighter.

Bicentennial activities...

Well, during the days of the bicentennial activities I really enjoyed the thinks I did. I went with my family to my brother’s house located in the borough of Puente Alto and danced all day long. We ate and drank a lot. I also went to the discotheque with my friend Natalia and my sister Pamela, so I started this week very tired. I think that is why I would be resting this weekend, taking advantage of the days in bed and recovering.
Unfortunately, this weekend a friend celebrating her birthday at home, which is located within a great plot in the borough of Lonquen, so I'll have to make an effort to assist jajaj, as you can see you, these days have been very enjoyable for me . You could also attend and I highly recommend this place to everyone.
I've been there several times since my best friend lives there and is very fun because there is a great swimming pool. The house has a fireplace and at night we sat around the campfire to sing and drink.
Well, I will go because I’m invited to the home to celebrate the birthday and be inviting me, and I can not attend. You neither!! This place is very recommend because is beautiful.I recommend you wear a jacket because it is very cold there and also I recommend them to all care during the day friday and saturday people be careful when you go to have fun and when you drive a car.

Tiki tiki tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

I love the month of September, is one of my favorite months because people are less stressed, people want to have fun and enjoy family and friends. Especially in a year like this, the bicentennial year where there are many activities for fun! .
In this celebration, we'll gather with my family in the house that my brother has recently purchased in the community of Puente Alto , we will be sharing all day, eating "empanadas" and “asado”, there will be many delicious things to eat. I also hope to see my friends with whom we have long been able to meet.
I do not need to spend much money at this time, because with something simple you can enjoy incredibly. The important thing is celebrate family.
Every year I intend to learn to dance cueca and I try, but after a bit I forget steps, so hopefully this year can practice a little more this wonderful dance

Education

I think that the people who manage the education would never accept education as a right but a product to be consumed...This goes against my thinking, because I think that education should be free for all, quality of education is very important along with equal access. The universities in Chile are different in relation to the quality of education they offer (for example the private universities and the public universities) . The education is a system that excludes and is not for all the people.
This issue always ends up in violence :( .
I think more radical actions are needed, is clear that the privatization of the education is not a new issue on the Chilean educational system and is a problem for the whole society.
If the young people from a country can’t develop themselves in equal,probably the country won’t be able to reach a real development either. I think that the state should be responsable about the public services, especially education. About of the Universidad de Chile, I think that even if is a state university, is really expensive to study and I fear that the university system slowly begins to privatize. Especially with the new government and the minister of education...

España

A country that I would like to visit is Spain. I've always liked that country and because it has a rich history and is very beautiful. I also love the flamenco dance and music, actually, now I am taking flamenco classes.
One of its beautiful cities is Barcelona, which has great castles that someday I would like to know. I would someday go on vacation, but also I dream of going to Spain to study and get a major in psychology. I have a friend who lives in Barcelona and has visited me at home. I would go alone, but it would be better going along with my boyfriend because he has friends living there and he would also like to travel to Spain. The journey I have not planned and neither I have saved the money to travel, but I do when I'm working...

First term :)

My first term

Hello friends, ¿how are you? hope you well. I remember my first term with happiness and good memories because it was entertaining and I started meeting people, I remember friends and in the first week there was a lof of distraction and funny.
I remember that last year I failed a course and that was in the second semester, which was a problem for me and I was sad because I thought I had done enough to pass the course, but I got a 3,9 as a final grade. This course was very difficult and required many hours of study. In the other course got good mark. I also worked, so I had to organize my time well to study and to perform both activities.

My Blogging Experience....

My blogging experience it was very important because I had never worked with a tool like this. My experience with the blog is new , I Iike writing and the themes were entertained. I think the technology helps very much to the learning. Without the help of the moderns tools the learning would be less entertaining . Is very interesting for my and generally the person who has some disability to learn can go to the pace of study for that they ask them. The bad is having to write this blog on Friday, when I'm more tired and I want to go to home. The disadvantages of this activity is the fact that there is only two rooms of computation to work, sometimes they deal for classes and therefore the use of the computers is restricted only for the people who is in this class, which it makes difficult to work if one has to do a rapid work or lives very far from the university or don´t have Internet in his house to send the works. Because of it I believe that to solve this problem there should be more rooms of computation and this way not to lose the pace of the work . With these measures I believe that we might do a suitable and satisfactory use of the rooms of computation and to may realize well the works. I think that this is very important to my university and my classmates. The advantages of this activity is the fact that allows extending the english vocabulary and learn new terms, plus is a fun way to learns through different topics so it is more free the process of the learning. It is a good technique and I would like to continue working this way. I think it is a very useful tool that has helped me improve my English writing and allowed me to learn new sentences.

My favourite sport

My favourite sports is the artistic gymnastics. Is a discipline of gymnastics which is very popular in the olympic games. The competitive gymnasts performs routines and I like to see these routines on television.

The symbol of this sports is Nadia Comaneci, because is considered the star of this sport and she received many awards for their excellent ratings . Also was the first gymnast ever to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in an Olympic gymnastic event. I like this sport because it's great to see the gymnasts perform acrobatics and is also a very feminine sports.

Gymnastics is an activity requiring strength, flexibility, agility and grace.

I do not practice this sport, but would like to.

The rules are: every gymnast starts at a different stop on the runway depending on their height and strength. Then may include one or more multiple saltos or somersaults, and/or twisting movements.

A form of artistic gymnastics is the rhythmic gymnastics.

Only women can compete in rhythmic gymnastics although there is a new version of this discipline for men. The sport involves the performance of five separate routines with the use of five apparatus—ball, ribbon, hoop, rope—on a floor area, with a much greater emphasis on the aesthetic rather than the acrobatic.

Another is the acrobatic gymnastics, a group gymnastic discipline for both men and women. Acrobats in groups of two, three and four perform routines with the heads and hands

Gymnastics is considered to be a dangerous sport, due in part to the height of the apparatus, the speed of the exercises and the impact on competitors' joints, bones and muscles. Sports have many affinities with art. For example the artistic gymnastics, my favourite sport ,can be considered a artistic spectacle.

Beautiful photography

A photograph that i really like was taken at my graduation per my brother ago five years ago, as time has passed!!. The photograph was taken in december 2005 in the schoolyard of my school, where one carries out the ceremonia. In the photograph I am hugging my mother, at the time I was crying from emotion and is clear that we embrace. Every time I see the picture I remember the day , was an important step in my life . Was important all my family accompany me at the time. I remember that day my brother took many pictures and all are beautiful. But this photograph is one that demonstrates the emotion of that moment for me. This is not a typical photograph, as it reflects a lot of tenderness, emotions and happiness.

In the photo, am with that the uniform representing my school, blouse and skirt that now I have in my wardrobe and my mother was giving me a bouquet of roses at the time, was very beautiful for me to receive the flowers, also is one of the few times they gave me flowers.

I would like to enlarge the picture and hang it on a table in my room, for to always remember that beautiful moment,because I think it would be a pleasure to have. Sometimes I look at the photographs of that day and I think everything that has happened in five years!!. I like to take many photographs in those special moments as they fall as a reminder to always observe for a moment and feel the same emotion that occurs at the time that the photograph is made.

My hobby

My favorite hobby is jogging through the parks of "Lo Cañas" to enjoy fresh air, exercise and relax. Approximately four years ago I practice and although lately I have not been able to do for lack of time, helps me feel physically healthy and energized! I started with my dad and sometimes I go out with my brother.

I like to run mainly in the summer evenings when the air is fresh.

When I run I do three times a week for about an hour.

"Lo Cañas" is a place near my house, which is characterized by green areas, trees and many people gather there to go out biking, jogging or walking. It is a place where children gather to play football.

I think it's important to practice a sport for a healthy life as this can relax, lose weight, keep fit and many more benefits!

When I run, I do so with appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes, a bottle of water to refresh and nothing else! this is a positive feature of running that is a sport that all economic and can be made! The good thing about going to this place, is the contact with nature which allows for a huge mess and wants to continue playing sports.

Finally, I do push-ups and exercises to prevent muscle injury, took a deep breath and little water to go back to my house and when I'm there I settle to rest or sleep for a moment, as it is very tiring. I would like to return to practice during winter break to relax the exhaustion of the university!

Man on Fire...

My favorite movie is "Man on Fire", with my favorite’s actor: Denzel Washington (in the film is John Creasy). The story talk’s about a family living in Mexico, formed by Samuel Ramos and Lisa Martin, who have a daughter, Lupita Ramos, she got nine years. They hire a bodyguard to care her daughter, because the numerous kidnapp’s of children in the country. At the first, the parents feel a little scared by the earlier work of John, he was working on terrorism cases, but the girl quickly falls in love with him, who is responsible for poor way, he is not accustomed to receiving care,but after a few weeks this is a beautiful friendship Lupita.Creasy takes great care and replace the parents of Katie when they are not. Even losing height helps to Lupita swimming competitions and won a competition. All these situations make Creasy has a new motivation to live, and that before coming to the house to work, was an alcoholic and had lost its way. This greatly affected when Lupita is is kidnapped and injured by trying to protect her.The parents go to the police and rescue is performed Lupita, but it happens and the days are ambusha call that the girl is dead. Creasy to Knowing this, do the impossible to find and is willing to kill anyone who is responsible. The film takes its name because it feels so Creaspowerless because they can not find it, that revenge is the fire that dominates it does promise to kill any person who has been involved in the kidnapping. Katie returns to her mother's arms and the film ends with a beautiful song. This is my favorite movie for Denzel's performance, as shown by significant and different from his other films. Also for the background story, which is a strong social problem faced by many countries creasy for Latin America and was able to leave theirweakness for alcohol exceeded as a side and person, just to be with small and make her happy.

My favourity festivity

My favourite festivity is the 18 of September. Is a

celebration very important for my country because it

remember the proclamation of the First Board of

Governors , held in 1810 when you start the process of

independency in Chile. It is celebrated with typical food

dishes, a very tasty“empanada”,dancing cueca (the

tradicional dance of Chile) and families attending the

“fondas”.The fondas are traditional places prepared

especially for this time of year,serving traditional

dishes and drinks. The symbol of this date is the Chilean

flag in the houses .In all buildings in the country for Independence Day

is imperative the flag. Also is typical Chilean music,

such as the cueca. This festival is considered the date

of the sample with stronger expressions of

people, so it is important for the country, and besides

this year marks the 200th anniversary of the Independence

of Chile! It is the year of the bicentennial. This

festivity I like it because people are happy and having

fun, also is lived love of country and family can

relax!.

I like that year after year, this day is alive with more power and it is important to celebrate that we are a free and independent country ... and tikitiki tii

Someone I admire

Someone I Admire:

When I think about someone I really admire, I always think in Iris Gallardo. She is a teacher from my faculty, who teaches Statistics and Science’s Methods.
She is like sixty years old, but she is incredible, because she knows a lot of different things. When she explains, everything gets clear, and no one needs to ask anymore.
But that’s not everything at all, because when she explains, different questions appear, but no questions about de subjects, but about things that usually comes up, like reflections or deep thoughts that refreshes the ideas.

This teacher, Iris Gallardo, it is also a good person. When you feel kind of depress or something like that, if you want to she can hear you, or even help you, if she can.
She tried to study Architecture for two years, but then she quiet and she went (or came, if you want to) to study psychology. She studied psychology because she wanted to work on something related to the psychiatric practice, in something related to kids.
I like her because she has taughtt me a lot of things, and she continues doing it every time we see each other.

Soda ....the best *

My favourite band is Soda Stereo, an Argentinian rock band that I always like to listen to in my spare time or when I want to be distracted, singing out loud. I like the lyrics and the music itself, and I think some songs have something that makes me forget my reality and go into another world. Others remind me of my loved ones or make me feel identified .The band was founded in 1982 by Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti. Among their most remarkable work, we find albums like "Soda Stereo", "Nada Personal" y "Signos" (Which is one of my favourites), just to name a few. In 1987, they performed at the International Song Festival of Viña del Mar, which led to almost 120 cases of hysteria, among the audience. In 1997 they went on a farewell tour, since the band was no longer going to be releasing new material. The last concert they gave was on Buenos Aires, at the River Plate Stadium.

earthquake

On February 27 I was in the city of Viña del Mar because he had attended the Festival of Viña.

After the show we went with my boyfriend and other friends at a nightclub in Valparaiso.

At that time the earthquake started and it was terrible for me, people were terrified and

shouted, many fainted and we did not know what to do, because any time now we move from fear divesiòn!! .

When he stopped moving, we imagine a tidal wave.

I just wanted to know where was the epicenter and talk to my parents for how they were.

Later we heard on the radio that the earthquake had affected the region 8.

I was impressed that despite the lack of light on the road leading people behaved calmly and correctly.

At 6 in the morning my mother called me and told me that in Santiago were all well, and I felt much more relaxed!!!
